Shari Fallet is a clinical geneticist who currently serves as Director, Clinical Development at AVROBIO, a biotechnology company developing gene therapies for rare diseases. Previously, Shari worked as Director, Clinician in Global Medicines Development for rare diseases at Pfizer and as Global Medical Affairs Director for rare diseases at Genzyme. Before starting her industry career, Shari practiced clinical genetics in New York and New Jersey for 15 years providing a wide variety of services including testing, diagnosis, treatment and counseling of pediatric and adult patients with genetic disorders.
Shari earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Barnard College, Columbia University and her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey and a fellowship in medical genetics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
